How are we on stage 2 during business hours and then stage 3 after hours?

Surely the demand is much higher during the day? WTF?!

Offices, construction and the likes?

I still don't buy it. You do have a valid point though :P never thought of that.

Evening is peak. It's not about power over time, it's about instantaneous load. Everyone getting home and turning on their stoves and geysers at the same time is a problem.

Many offices have started making alternate energy plans by now...

The Generator is killing me... I can't run it every day for 4 hours. Wife works from home, 2 hours. I get home, 2 hours... wtf /scream (And that is stage 2/3 alternating as it fks my schedule so I get hit twice with 2 hours instead of once). Sometimes even 3 times. BASTARDS!

/smiles in Cape Town
Think we need to move offices to Cape Town... this can't continue man. And they are only ****ing ober the middle class more. Over 40% in rates and taxes per litre of fuel. 40% of our salaries going to tax and then on every thing we buy 15%. So of my salary I probably only get the benefit of around 40% if not less... ffs

Nope peak demand is between 5am to 9am and the next peak is 5pm to 10pm.
Demand during the day can be about 2 to 3GW lower then those 2 peaks

And then you have the stealth taxes such as on razor blades and tyres. Not to mention the taxes on taxes such as VAT on your vehicle licence.
