I would like to know if there is anyone with an old pc at home or work that they are not using anymore, that will be able to run autocad and office.

There is people that is busy trying to get an initiative of the ground that is got to do with conservation of rhinos, but they are struggling as they do not have even a computer. They cannot get proper funding as they do not have a pc to even just write proper proposals to look for funding. The Autocad is needed as they have designed something that will be used with the anti-poaching and needs the autocad for that.

Please the people are in the Eastern Cape, PE area, if anyone can help, can you just PM me please.

Hi Japster, sounds like a nice idea, but you should check with the forum owners first as there is a ban in place on unofficial charities and fund-raising on this forum so as to protect people from scams and fraud. You can reach the owner at [email protected]

Guys Im not part of this idea at all, at the moment it is really not a charity thing or anything like that, I just heard of someone needing a pc to get this off the ground. Im sorry if I broke some rules.

Autocad license will cost more than a new PC. So you are talking about using illegal software. I don't like this idea...

pfft, lets not go overboard here, autocad starts from around R1500 for student edition and the 2013 LT is around R9000, maybe they dont require the full retail version

If they are already capable of doing whatever it is they want to do using AutoCAD then the chances are they already have access to it or likely know someone that does.
If they're starting from scratch and don't know anything about CAD then this is a really bad idea.

Perhaps you should elaborate, I'm sure that a good idea to save Rhinos would get plenty of support.

It looks like they indicated having access
as they have designed something that will be used...
