I got an SMS the other day saying I am subscribed to EROS at R4.99 per day.

I most certainly did not sign up to it but I know you can do it from some websites by entering your cell number.

R4.99 could easily be coming off my prepaid balance daily and I would have to put all my other activity such as making calls etc on hold for a whole 24hours to actually see if its happening.

Can they just start deducting or must you send a confirmation request first.
 
Looking at the name, I am going to guess some erotic pictures or messages :p

Just ignore it, if you reply to it you gonna get billed, keep an eye on your bill.
 
I phoned up the call centre and they did in fact confirm that I have been billed since early in the year. I got a copy of the log file from the guy and I stopped scrolling when it got too much for me...

Hundreds of rands down the tubes to some portuguese company which owns the service...:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

The guy I spoke to from the company that hosts it was very helpful. He provided me with the logs and a lot of info.

According to him I can't really do anything about it because the whole system has been well thought out...
