Can this be done? Dual sim two APN settings

Hi all.
I have a MiA1 running android 8.1. It is dual sim.
I have my FNB sim in slot one with APN settings as "internet". In slot 2 I want to have my Telkom sim for data only which uses "TelkomInternet" for it's APN setting.
My problem is I can only see APN setting for the FNB sim and no option for the second sim slot. Changing the sim's around does not help.
Am I able to achieve what I want to do and have a different APN setting for each of the sim cards?

You can only set one sim to be the data sim at a time. If you change the Telkom sim to be the data sim, you'll be able to set an APN for it

For the record, internet is also a suitable APN for Telkom.
