I have been going round in circles trying to add a data bundle to my contract which is a new Talk 120S. I finally get told by Vodacom that this is only possible for prepaid and not contract.

So my question is this: what rate am I paying for data then as I cannot see this anywhere on the Nashua or Voadacom websites? Also, does this mean that I am on a *fixed* rate for data just because I am on a contract? Your responses will be much appreciated! Thanks

Yes, you can add on a data bundle of your choice. But your service provider needs to do this. If you dont have a data bundle loaded, the rate is R2.00 per meg.

Thanks. I have just received a "data addendum" form from Nashua. It seems crazy that I have to call or email every time I want to load data when prepaid has so many channels to do this. Am I missing something here...?

Nashua is your problem, if you were with Vodacom SP you could manage your bundles from the Vodacom site yourself.

One can do it through the Vodacom4me website under "modify services".

Nope. That is not an option that I can see.

I Get:

Create Voice Mailbox
Create a new mailbox if you don't currently have one. Your mailbox may have been de-activated if it was inactive for a period of time.
Change Voicemail PIN
Change your Mailbox Pin.
Divert All Calls to Voicemail
Cancel All Diverts
Deactivate Multiparty Conference Call
Upgrade Voicemail

That is because your SP is Nashua. VSP provides full access to everything.

Hi

Just Called Nashua mobile , if you are on a 3G contract , then the only 2 ways to purchase bundles would be via the call centre or at a Nashua store. You can view your account info on the Nashua site but no purchasing can be done.

Who is nasua and what do they do? sell cellphones for vodacom?

They are a Service Provider like Autopage , Smartcall VSP etc. The sell cell phone contracts and a host of GSM services.

Thanks to all for the responses. Looks like I will have to go the "fax form or call callcentre" route each time......
I have asked for an "adhoc" bundle for now, will change to a bolt-on bundle when I see how much this new X10 uses (will be PLENTY more than I am used to...!!!!)

I believe that one can *stop* a bolt-on bundle at any time - so it is not like some locked-in contract. Let me know if I am mistaken. One day Nashua will catch up with the rest of the planet...../NOT/

Don't try to buy a bundle with your eBucks either - this is almost impossible.
