Got a reply back from TelkomZA. They can not cancel as long as the line is with my ISP, who managed it. So now Axxess have to transfer it back to Telkom first before they can cancel. I have reference number from Axxess, but that process can take a while. Holding thumbs.

How long have you been paying on this contract and what was the reason for cancellation if I may ask ?

no it wasnt a contract, i just had the voice line with adsl - my isp wasnt telkom.
i cancelled because we had fibre installed in our complex and telkom phoned to say they wont be supporting any adsl issues in our area anymore

Emailed DSL cancellation to servcancellation@telkom.co.za
Received message ... "The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept new messages at this stage. Message therefore not delivered. Please try resending this message later. [Telkom SA SOC Limited. Registration nr : 1991/005476/30 ".
Tried twice. Same result. And they wonder why they are losing customers.

The best way to cancel a line at telkom is by sending your cancellation to the telkomza representative on mybroadband.

The other service channels like email , fax , callcenter do not work for cancellations.

Plain , simple. (Full stop)

Man it's tough to cancel.

I went face to face into the store and they told me only green book IDs and he doesn't care about a license (though, the day before the store accepted my neighbor's license).

So I emailed the form and ID through to their cancellations and recieved an acknowledgement. However, today they tell me they've received nothing.

Telkom have provided great service and really improved recently, but there are still areas they're 3rd rate

I have cancelled, yet I still get billed 3 months later. Luckily I didn't sign a debit order.
And there's no way to contact them on the site. "Talk to us" gives a DNS error, and the email us gives a 403 when you submit.

I've submitted my cancellation earlier today. Sent it from three different email accounts and got an autoreply confirmation for each.

Anything else I can do to ensure sure my cancellation gets processed? Looks like cancelling has never been an easy task with these guys.

Get hold of them on Twitter or here to find out. Those confirmations seem to mean nothing

When I recently cancelled, I got no confirmation but my next invoice stated "Final invoice" and looked slightly different than the previous one.

I really hope something similar happens in my case. Though I'm still going to keep the voice line for now. Just trying to cancel my ADSL by the end of December.

For cancellation follow-ups (1 month after you have emailed the form) send a DM to the @TelkomZA team on Twitter - Ive had the same frustrations as experienced by everyone else but this team got back to me fairly quickly with a status update, reference number and actual timings
