Canceling an Uber

Hey guys, so I typically don't use Uber but use it when being responsible etc.

Off to a long wine tasting even today that's a bit far away and ordered an Uber.

Uber was 3 min away literally a few blocks away next thing I see, on the highway and 18mim away after 10 min... Wtf... So I canceled.

So the amount 250ish already off the credit card is this just refunded?

Anyone had a similar situation
I see it is now the new thing among Uber and Bolt drivers... accepts a trip while either just starting another or still busy with one. I just cancel if they sit and sukkel around an area wasting my time:mad:
Bolt has yet to charge me a cancellation fee.

The app always says 3-4 mins and it ends up to a 20-25 min wait if you don't cancel :rolleyes:

Bolt is the one I use, I only had one bad experience where a driver claimed to be outside my gate even though he was down the road and he wanted me to walk a few hundred meters to where he actually was, I cancelled the trip and got charged a R20 fee but they gave me a R100 voucher for that incident.
