Cancellation: UPDATE

Can everyone with cancellation tickets just give a update on the status of theri cancellation?

I'm still licking the beast to cancel. I told them that they have until the end of this week (end of the month) to cancel my contract! I have spoken to almost everyone at the call centre including emailing Clinto Smith!

Hope this gets done..

Cancellation, what cancellation?

After 10 days I have heard nada, despite three calls to follow up. The only good thing is that I'm not paying for the service it seems.

See my other mail in he thread about Sentech's f*cked up finance.

Read that on arf. Did you cancel you debit order or wil you actually keep on reversing their deductions? :) Just want to get as much info on how to cancel so that I can try everything. This is gonna stop for me before the end of the month!

I have been reamed enough!

well mine is on my second credit card...good luck to them to try get R3700 authorised. It will be over the available limit [:)]. If they process any other amount, I'll reverse it...it just takes one call to the bank.
 
koosbeer, I'm still stuck with my "magic" cancellation ticket. Atleast they seemed to have fixed 256K local bandwidth which makes the system atleast a little bareable

non... i'm beyond that! I didn't sign up for "atleast" or "it's ok now". I signed up for always on 24/7 connection BROADBAND! I'm tired of the monster. Time to call the exterminator! Keep me updated with your "magic" ticket. Mine is as "magic" is yours...

I just received two calls from Sentech to tell me that my cancellation has been processed!!

I await the collection of my paperweight.

SUCCESS

for me 2. I bugged the **** out of them and they finaly cancelled. no phone call. Just clinton sending me a mail stating that it will b e finalised before the end of the month! And lame modem will be picked up!

This is awesome! No more tears and no more headaches! Thanks for all your support and help! I will definitly not disapear from the forum!

nonroker! just mail the **** out of clinton smith. If you dont have his email, drop me a mail and i'll mail it to yoU! Thats what i did and the man got tired of me and cancelled me :)

I think they REALLY want to get rid of me ;-)

But, I must thank the finance and customer care staff - they've had to survive me and did a good job of it.

I'm glad to be out of here.

I think you were just lucky to hit a batch job of cancellations. It seems that they build up a batch and then get them all approved together....

Don't bother with the call centre, call Clinton Smith or Caspar Cassidy at Sentech HO directly. If their phones are on voicemail (they usually are) ask the switchboard for a cell number (the switchboard operator is quite obliging [:)]), or ask to speak to Schalk, who is quite helpful. Give them an ultimatum...I threatened to speak to the CEO personally if I didn't have a response within the day. I then received not one but two calls confirming the cancellation (one from Schalk at HO and one from Vernon at the call centre) within 2 hours.
