Hi!

Just want to know if it's possible to cancell a 24 month 3G contract?

I've recently moved to an area where I'm not getting any coverage. Even called to find out if there will be in the near future, but no luck.

Thanks!

I'd suggest you pick this up with 155. The normal rules state if you were sold a contract and you do not have coverage, then you can cancel. However, in your case you moved to an area with no coverage. I assume you still have GPRS coverage?

PM me your new location and give 155 a call in the mean-time.

How many months left on the contract?
Which contract?
I am sure someone may be willing to take it over.

Nico

Hi!

Yes, I still do have GPRS coverage, but I'm sure as hell not paying R700 a month for GPRS now, am I?

I've moved from Cape Town (where 3G was wonderful btw) to a little town in the middle of nowhere, callled Prince Albert.

I've emailed the customer care and they gave me a fax number to where I can send my cancelation. He said that if there isn't any coverage, that I could cancel. So yesterday, I sent in a letter requesting a cancelation of my contract (with my ID book etc.).

I got the 24 month contracts (2X R350 p/m contracts) last year in MAY, so there's a lot of months still left. I don't think I'm willing to pay a cancelation fee, as that is out of the question!

Thanks!

How many data cards do you have?
Selling them on this list may cover the cancellation costs.
Someone will surely also be willing to take a contract with only 14 months remaining is you throw in the data card.

Sure!

Anyone here interested in taking over a contract before I make a new thread? Two 3G cards up for sale! :)

R350 p/m
14 Months left on both contracts
Both cards brand new condition!

Thanks!

are the contracts directly through vodacom or a third party service provider like nashua mobile?

Directly through Vodacom.

Vodacom said that I could cancel it, so right now I'm thinking of doing that rather. Just waiting for my ISDN line to be installed.

PM me if you decide to sell the cards (without the contract)... :)

I will probably take one off your hands if the price is right...
