Hi everyone.
My friend bought a DSL512 package from Telkom with 3GB cap (i think) using telkom as ISP.
The contract is 2 years and when i told her about the new MTN tariffs on HSDPA, she got quite disapointed with Telkom.
I wanted to know if it is possible to cancel the contract with Telkom, anyone please?

Yes it is - the cancellation fee is about R70 for each unexpired month of the contract. However MTN's new tariffs are only available on a contract signed before the end of the month and overall HSDPA is not as reliable as adsl. Also if you need more tha the 2Gigs MTN becomes a lot more expensive

she knows mtn will be a kuk load slower eh?

Depending on the location...

But I would rather stick with Telkom for the rest of the contract tho. Wait a month or two and see what is happening then, it's too early to say "switch".

Besides Horrible-big-mess-kom might drop their prices as well.

when u said R70, is it only R70? because it's a new contract, second month.
and i have a good experience with mtn, no problems for me...

R70 for each unexpired month - if you in month 2 when you cancel the cancellation fee is 22*R70 = R1510
