Cancelling Contracts

You must cancel your contract - even if it is expiring with one calendar month. I just got caught out, nad now have to pay an extra month of ridiculously high subscription.

I cannot wait to say goodbye to Vodacom and Mweb

Just one post. I waited a day in hopes that I see that total increase, but alas... Why must I cancel? Because you were the fool that didnt know how things work or bothered to find out?

Go on, I cant wait to see you post about how poor cell c's coverage or how erratically MTN is charging you for your contract. And MWEB?? Anyone who signs up with them must be a douche for sure.

So, run along now and troll somewhere else where you might have a valid argument.

Gloves are off! Come on! Gimme your best! :p (Do i get a cut of the winnings? Im betting on both so I have a 100% chance to get something. hehe)

I have had some hiccups ocleroux. But when things get a little tough, I just think about the 5 hours i spent 2 days in a row to get my ID sorted, and i think about the 3 hours I spent to get my drivers appointment made. :) Just to have the officer fail me because I wasn't leaning forward far enough to check blind spots. I dont think i need to go on with my list... ;)

right... perhaps I should have made myself clear. My service provider does not respond to emails. especially at the end of the month. i thought an internet company might, but I was wrong. they promise to respond in 2 days - but seldom do, especially if it is before the month cut off time. and this has happened to me 3 times.

and they were aware that i wanted to change to adsl months ago. now i am just not going to do it through them.

Now I am confused

I thought Vodacom customers only get to upgrade two months early the first 24 month term of their contract, on the 22nd month. After that it is every 24 months.

So if my contract was taken out on January 2005, upgraded on October 2007 and now it is December 2009, won't I be eligible to give them a month's notice to cancel my contract, meaning January 2010 will be my last month?

you get you upgrade after 22 months....- but the renewal of the contract only happens after 24 month....so in essence you get your new phone, after 22 months...but your new 24 month period only kicks in two month later.....fine print thang ;-)
