Cancelling Vodacom Contract Help ?

My mother recently took out a cellphone contract from Vodacom on the 8th of September and the device is still out of stock to this day...
So i would like to know is it possible for me to cancel the phone contract seeing as its not in my possession and the first monthly payment hasn't happened as yet or do i have to hope and pray that it gets in stock and shipped?

I find it weird that vodacom doesn't have stock of the device but the istore where i live does.. but anyway
This was a 36 month contract for the Iphone SE 2020

I think you cancel because it's within the 7-day cooling off period. Perhaps some of the other knowledgeable folks can confirm.
