Hi,

I am currently sitting in Midrand and cannot connect to the 3G network.

I have tried to select the 3G network but it remains on 2G (resulting in speeds slower than 4pm traffic on the N1). Note: I am disconnected from the network before I try switching to 3G

Details of the card:
Huwaei E220
IMEI: 358191014160712

The firmware was update yesterday with this version as we use both XP and Vista at work: 11.110.05.00.00

Any suggestions?

What dashboard software & version are you using with that E220?

I suggest that you use ginggs' application to get a better idea of the problem you're describing, as well as to force a 3GOnly connection.

Ok, I'm not sure if there is an option in that version of VMC-Lite to force 3GOnly, best to use ginggs' application to get a better idea of what's happening.

VMCLite version 3 has the option to select the desired profile.

@Jase, you can also try and install the software you got on the CD's, VMC 9.2 and Force 3G from there.

Thanks, our IT techie did a firmware upgrade but I don't think he is so hot on the whole 3G aspect as there are only a handful of us using it atm.

Will fiddle with it tomorrow.
