Hi guys
Not a boffin by any means with computers, my problem is that when i start my pc my modem loads in the tray as normal (red square, green tick) then the connect dialogue box appears and asks do i want to connect, before i have chance it all disappears and the process starts all over again. If left for a few minutes, i have a line of red squares and green ticks in the start up tray and this just carries on like that. As soon as i put my mouse over the red squares they all disappear but the process continues as above.
I had the modem sent back and they did an upgrade because of the same problem and after 2 days of working fine it started again.
before it went back for repair the modem use to load with the software automatically, now its a vodaphone connect something or other.
Totally fed up now

hope you can offer some advice

Regards:confused:

Looks like there's some conflict with the USB modem drivers or that the modem 'disappears'. Latter is normally power related.

Have you installed CD or DVD software recently? It could cause conflicts with the USB modems. See if you can disable the drive letter of the modem. Search on this forum for the instructions.

Then try and uninstall and re-install (the latest, if possible) VMC or VMC lite.
