Cannot disable Mobile Partner 23.001.07.01.45 at start-up, it just loads and slowdown my PC.
It's not marked in the options menu, but still loads. The other MP versions is fine, but i like this one with the USSD option.
Can someone please tel me how to disable it.

Cannot you uninstall it from Control Panel / Programs?

It will be also under Program Files (x86). Delete the entire folder. Close the program first

If the stick is plugged in when you restart its going to load.
Otherwise you don't have the checkbox ticked here?

If no to both the above then go to msconfig & see if it is listed in the "startup" items & uncheck it

What i've said.

No it's not in startup, i've checked msconfig as well as autoruns. I've looked through the registry but can't find it.

You haven't got another version on your PC like MTN Online or CellC or 8ta in your program files?
MP starts up when you restart with no stick plugged in?

Nope, i did a clean xp install yesterday. It's the one installed in Pfiles that comes up, the one on the stick is the older version with no ussd option.

Ok - does'nt make sense - i would uninstall then run revo uninstaller to remove any left overs

If you haven't seen the other thread there's PC & stick downloads for this MP V23 with USSD enabled here.
Last one has got the ad bar disabled as well

*Edit*
If you got the stick plugged in its going to startup MP regardless.
I also just tried with autorun disabled & no startup enabled.
No stick plugged in on reboot = no MP startup
Stick plugged in on reboot = MP startup
Must do it as it loads the drivers.

Thx for the link, i've installed the Dongle/Stick version. The startup is still the same, the dongle removed the older version in PFiles & installed the one on the dongle. I think it's the one in PFiles that loads, cos i've disabled the dongle autorun.
I'll uninstal the one in PFiles later and see what happens.

Just take a read of the edit i put at the bottom of that post where you downloaded cos i think you might have grabbed that file before i updated it...it keeps looking to replace the one in pfiles - i fixed that now & the links been updated.

I don't think its going to help your issue, seems unless you unplug your stick MP is still going to startup, does that for me also.

Does your MP dash load slow as well?
It makes no sense to unplug the stick, cos then windows must load it again & it takes time. I'll rest my case regarding the slow loading of MP & live with it.
Thx for your help on this.
Greetz.

With the stick is plugged in check what drive number is allocated to it (eg Drive D) - remove the drive number allocated to it via Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management - that way it doesn't auto-start, but you can still start the program manually ;)

You mention you have a clean install of XP - unsure where you would remove the drive number under XP - probably also under Computer Management.

Not really, if i leave the stick in & restart its about 12sec's after windows loads before i can hit "connect"

That's acceptable, did you uninstall MP from PFiles. I did not try it yet, cos after my clean os install i'm very busy installing all my apps.

OK thx.

I've changed the drive letter and ticked the "no action" option in autoplay, but after restart it was back to previous drive nr.
I think with the 1 gig ram it won't load faster. This is my backup pc and i don't want to spend on an upgrade.
Thx for help.

If your still getting this popping up you need to re download & reinstall onto the stick the updated file.
I accidentally put a wrong file in the dongle install that is creating this msge.
The download link i've changed since i fixed it.

I've got a bunch of older dash's sitting in mediafire - if you want to roll back to an older MP i'm sure i can give you a link.
I don't recall whether the older ones used to startup automatically or not tho.
Do you want to try the old grey colour CellC dash? - that had USSD enabled
