I have a Windows XP machine at work and before today I could always see my USB flash on this machine. Now non of my USB flash drives seem to available in the My computer Screen. It does show that a Mass Starage device is plugged into the machine. I have tried all the USB port front and back. NO Joy. Any Ideas?:confused:

All the other machine in the office pick it up just not mine.

Check under "Disk Management" in "Computer Management", make sure it has an assigned drive letter.

+1 on the Z-- suggestion. I also do that (when needed). Unfortunately Windows isn't clever enough to bypass this by itself.

...and if your network guys set it up to start at the beginning of the alphabet, kick them where it hurts.

Yep and this is the same for Vista as well have not been able to test on Win7 yet..

Had to fix the countless times and sometimes more than once for the same damn customers.. Allthough u tell them to assign higher letters and then go lower.. :D

Would love to give some of my PEBKAC customers a PK :D:D:D
