Cannot use ms encarta

Can someone please help me. I've installed MS ENCARTA STANDARD 2007 but when I start the program I just get a blank screen. What does it mean?

i have encarta ref library 2007- and it installs- no prob-
ive formatted my HD umpteen times & everytime i re-install it and i have no probs.
where r u ?
maybe i can send u a copy of mine!
