i decided to upgrade only because of the bigger lcd screen on the back. it was very difficult to judge if a picture is cool on the smaller screen.

It's so amusing to see people's utter confusion when I hand them my camera to take a picture and they hold it 20cm away from their faces (of course I don't switch on the live view ever). While travelling I handed my K-1000 to an older guy (as in old enough to be my dad) and he did exactly the same thing. I mean, seriously, he should know better!

Not yet but will look at that

You're missing much of what makes Aperture cool if you're not shooting RAW.

Works very well. It also works on the half down for settings and full down for shutter. You can also keep it down for multiple shots (even has a lock down)

Sounds the same as the RS-80N3. Sadly they don't make the wireless one for the 40D
