You can hand hold which lens? Definitely not the Canon 1200/5.6L USM.I was thinkging, you better have a camera that can do more than 1/1000 shutter to shoot with that one, but then I remembered, the hand-hold rule doesn't apply. You can hand-hold it!
That is, btw, one of the funniest lens reviews I've read.

keep in mind this hefty pup demands the sturdiest tripod and pan/tilt head you can muster up.

@ldmelsa, on the twip podcast they were talking about a program Canon has whereby you can trade your broken out-of-warranty camera for a discount on a refurbished camera. You might be able to pick up something nice (5D maybe) for a reasonable price that way.
