Canon EOS 7D introduced

Wouldn't surprise me with they release another range with said sensor

New movie features. The 7D's movie mode features full manual control over shutter speed and aperture. Images can be recorded in 1080p resolution at 30 (NTSC), 25 (PAL) or 24 frames per second and in 720p mode with 60 (NTSC) or 50 (PAL) fps.

Now we're talking!

The 5DII only does 30fps, even though it now has the manual control.

Looks like a tasty kit. I too would also prefer full frame, but with the way photography tech is evolving, there will always be reasons to have a nit pick.
18MP with a crop sensor? FAIL.
Probably best to wait for the tests and reviews before we come to conclusions that things like pixel density are an issue.

The reason I ask for FF on this, is that there are two things that bug me about the 5DmkII:

1. The old AF. Yes, it works, and it's accurate enough, but it's not even as good as the current xxD series.
2. Lack of built-in flash.

The two things that interest me:
the electronic level;
the millions of focus points (and the zone AF to go with them)

Those are some nice specs. Love the high FPS, wireless flash control.

Not so sure about that many pixels in such a small space but then again maybe they will be just fine.

That video sounds nice to me.
Correct FPS, full manual control.
Make a movie! Yay!

Long live Canon!

The reason there is no built-in flash on the full frames is because space is needed for the larger viewfinder pentaprism. If they did have built-in flash it would either make the camera bulkier or you'd have an inadequate viewfinder field of view. Plus, on-camera flash is generally pretty damn lame.

I have no complaints with my 5DII Autofocus either, sure it could be better, esp for action photography and it has no comparison to my 1DIII, that's why it costs twice the price.

Have you looked at the Nikon D700? Full frame with a flash. I don't care if the viewfinder isn't as big as possible. My Rebel (old film - 500N) has a comparatively small viewfinder, but it's still much bigger than on the 50D.

You know what they say about the best camera being the one you have with you? Same goes for flash. I have a dedicated flash but sometimes I take my camera along to events where I'm a guest, really for my own snaps, and the pop-up flash is more than adequate for that. I don't want to be dragging along a big flashgun, especially if I'm going to be handing the camera around (to also be in at least a few pictures).

They could have put the 40D/50D AF in it, which is a good improvement.
