Canon Powershot A720 IS

Most of the Canons are pretty decent. The missus has the cheaper A560 - without IS - and she's happy with it.
 
hi have a sx100is, bery nice camera for its price. decent photo good zoom and it as IS which makes it very handy.
 
I bought a Canon A710IS for R2000 on special a few months back. It takes terrible photos. I wish I bought the Kodak.

At least it's not as bad as Samsung.
 
Any other good quality cameras going for around R2500 with 10x Optical zoom

Yeah true but the little optical rangefinders that they put in compacts are so *****, you're better off without them.

edit: I have to find a new way to spell s h ! t... :)

They might be crap (;)) but they're better than nothing :)
 
How about buying one of my 400D bodies so I can get this? :D

Never ever in your, or anyone else's life buy a panasonic. I had the FZ50, and I sold it, and bought my wife the 720 is. And I must say from moment one it took better pics. I like it a lot. I just wished Bwana was serious, and I got the moola...:D
