Can't install new version of Flash

Downloaded it off the Adobe site, and when trying to install I get the message 'Not enough space. Please clear 5000kb and try again'. Obviously this is not true as I have plenty of free space.

What's the problem here?

That it a strange error. Have you tried doing a direct update?

Well, if you're using Firefox you can install Flash simply by visiting any site that uses flash (SpeedTest for one) and clicking on the information bar that will come up. Should save you from having to download the install file itself.
