Hi, I have a 1TB external SSD that gives me an error all of the sudden when I try to mount it in linux Can't read super block,
Windows doesn't even bother with an error message....
When i try to repair the drive I am getting:

fsck.exfat /dev/sdb1
exfatprogs version : 1.2.0
failed to read bitmap
failed to verify root directory.
/dev/sdb1: clean. directories 1, files 0

Is there anything else I can try?
Otherwise I will have to wipe the partition....will that fix the issue?

To be honest I am not 100% sure if I have anything important on that drive.

What does a SMART test say..? Run the disk through hard disk sentinel to get SMART information and disk health..

However, you may have already caused whatever data may have been on the drive to be irreversibly corrupted, by performing fsck.. when you have a drive with issues, you want to avoid any write operation.. you want to instead clone the drive and run any repair operations on the clone..
