Anybody know why this is ?:confused:

Also check your permissions on the particular machine. Could be a restriction on your privileges.

Clearly you have a virus that stems from pron sites. You've been downloading and hiding files that you shouldn't be in possession of. This virus is meant for you own benefit.

For shame:(

Sounds like the RavMon trojan or somthing else along those lines.

There's a thread in the Internet Security section where a member had a similar issue. Once the trojan/worm/virus is removed, you need to sort out the registry issues.

I have got nod32 and avst and they dont find anything, granted they havent been updated in about a month and, no i dont hav adsl anymore so no porn :'( still waiting for my new line. It also wont allow me to open my flash drive unless i go to run and type in the drive.

Virus:

1) Start -> Run -> Regedit
2) Navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\Advanced\Folders\ (or something similar... Can't remember exact path)
3) Change the SHOWALL key to 1

More evidence of a virus.

I'm willing to bet there is a autorun.inf file that is running some .exe or .bat (which runs a .exe later).

You can try browse your flash in the following ways:

1) Windows Explorer -> In left-hand pane, click the desired paths you want to traverse

OR

2) Windows Explorer -> Type path into address bar as you navigate

Be sure that you don't have the autorun.inf in any of your hard drive partitions (quite likely that you do, though). Once you have enabled showing of hidden folders (as explained above), you should be able to see if there is an autorun.inf in the root of your partitions. Before you delete it, open it in notepad to see what it is running. Then delete the autorun.inf and the executables it pointed to.

There is a hidden virus file on your flash drive. your nod32 and avst can also be infected download a scanner u can use in dos to find the virus or in safemode.
