Which is the best place to have canvas printing done on good quality canvas or something similar? Online stores preferably.

We've had quite a bit done at Canvas It.

Well priced and they run specials often. Shipping is free too.

One more question. I have a picture with the following dimensions. Will I be able to print A1 or A0 size or will quality be a problem?

Ideally for canvas you want 150DPI which this will provide for at A1.

With some resampling you could get it up to A0 - a lot depends on the image and viewing distance.

Thank you Bwana. It is a wildlife photo that I would like to print on canvas to hang on the wall.

A1 size will be fine for me. Which type of canvas will be the best for something like this ?

I decided to go with Canvas It. Their prices looked good and their website says turnaround time is 2 weeks because they are busy. Placed order and paid on 24/4/18. Images also provided to them. Yesterday I receive an email from them stating that they are flooded with orders and mine will be with the June batches for printing.:eek:

Will try some of the other places mentioned for future printing

Whoa!!! That is a bit rough.

Personally never experienced that before. We've done 7 or 8 orders with them already and always received it within 2 weeks from submitting images.

Sorry to hear.

No problem, it's not your fault. They say that they are flooded with orders. I have spoken to them and they will see if they can expedite it but cannot promise anything.

Reviving, because I placed an order for 3x A2 canvases with Canvas It on 29 August. Same story with long processing times. Should have shipped by 18/10. Received no feedback and when I followed up, Nico said they had a break-in causing delays, with updated shipping date by today...

@SlowInternet - what happened with your order?

Dammit. I hate recommending people and then stuff like this happens.

Wife actually wanted to do a few more of my photos for the house but will seriously reconsider now.

Apologies guys.

No need to apologise dude.. I didn't go with them based on your recommendation. Saw their prices and reviews on FB, and made the decision based on that.

I eventually received it about 3-4 weeks after it was fast tracked according to them. They send me a tracking number . A few days later I contacted them because the courier company advised me that the parcel was never given to them. They then apologized and said it was an oversight and they did not give the parcel to the couriers.

But I must admit I was very happy with the quality of the prints.

Still. I am one of those who recommended them. Maybe not on FB but here and to other friends as well.
Just sent the wife link to this thread and she reported back that one of her friends is having same issues and excuses by Nico. Estimated time for delivery for their order is only December now.

Seems to me that they are overselling and can't keep up with production.

No need to apologise. I think the problem is that they are flooded with orders and struggle to get the orders out in time. But they still keep on advertising all these specials making the situation worse.

Good to know you received it at least. But having to wait this long is a bit ridiculous.

Oh no... I'm still waiting on Nico for feedback; very slow in responding. Must be a capacity issue, but not the way I would imagine they can retain customers with this sort of turnaround.

Indeed. Either invest in more equipment/employees and keep up the good work and customer base (and grow it even). Or risk getting a bad rep and losing more than just a bit of profit in the short run.

I for one will be seriously reconsidering them for future prints after 3 bad experiences.
