Good luck.

Lets be realistic... the Western Cape will never gain independence.

Ja like Apartheid never ended, America would never have a Black president etc etc :D Never say never, time will tell ;) I think people will be surprised by how much support the independence movement will gain...

This must be the silliest thread on myBB ever...
Just saying...
There is NO way South Africa will allow the WC to become a separate,
independent country. No way. Ever. No matter who is in charge.

What if Helen gave us a referendum, (which i believe she will in the near future,) and the majority voted for secession. Still not? Then they are tyrants, which we would have to fight.

It is a silly thread but let them enjoy their deluded fantasies, its quite entertaining.

Again, im sure Serbia thought the same about Kosovo. SA doesnt have to 'allow' ****. Let the people decide.

Retro: thanks. doesnt seem to work.

How did you do this: "Nobody is perfect, I'm a nobody, therefore I'm perfect?"

Well yeah, maybe if you fight, but it's one thing voting in a referendum and another putting yourself and your family into a bloody civil war (which the WC will lose)
:erm:I mean come on, do any of you honestly think that SA is just going to allow it's biggest tourist attraction, winelands, a major harbour, wealth and industry and all the other wonderful things you guys have mentioned; you think they're just going to say 'ok, take it all, we don't mind'

"A nation, therefore, has no right to say to a province: You belong to me, I want to take you. A province consists of its inhabitants. If anybody has a right to be heard in this case it is these inhabitants." - Ludwig Von Mises.

This is entertaining isnt it.. What I find so funny is your lack of belief in the Cape's ppl & their desire to secede :)

Because so far its not the Cape ppl..

Its an INCREDIBLY small percentage of the population that are entertaining the idea... and based on skewed logic in my opinion.

and the percentage grows even smaller when taken into context of the Cape Colonies borders as at 1910.
