Cape-Independence : Really.. everyone in Mitchells Plain etc etc... when did you go there?.. before or after the election?

Toxic: before. I helped campaign for the Cape Party. Before you get excited and use everything I say against my Party, i do not pretend to speak for them, so relax. I campaigned with the in those areas, going door to door, handing out flyers. Ive seen the vast majority, (EVERYONE we met,) welcome us with open arms, offer us coffee, and applaud the Idea of Cape Independence. Ive seen grown men cry with support and praise. Ive seen men old enough who spoke about the days of Sailor malan, how they remember it, and what due to them, happened after Union.

Ive heard many ppl's complaints and made many friends. You, on the other hand are not even from the Cape, yet you pretend to speak for its ppl like you know what's best for them. Hypocrite.

Well you've quoted quite heavily off the Cape Party so you are pretty much using what they officially say to justify your position and its proven to be wrong a number of times.

Well its a pity if you say EVERYONE did that before the election, and then promptly didn't vote for you. That for me is a fairly telling aspect of this whole thing.

People sometimes vote tactically.

Does it make a difference?

You campaigned, everyone welcomed you with open arms and told you stories and cried etc etc etc... and then went to vote for other parties.

Toxic: As you've never physically taken part in an election I understand how you have no idea what it takes to campaign a new idea or Party.

Yes, as in they'll vote for the party that can actually DO something constructive.
No. If there are two main parties and the 'bad' one is in a position to win, many people will vote for the other, just to keep the bad one out. That's even if they support a smaller party.

Firstly, Genetic, I can find a hundred media posts on the internet who are blatantly PRO AND against the DA, ANC, anyone else. The fact that you found 1 thats totally biased against the movement, and then use it as claim that its racially motivated and not supported by alot of ppl down here, shows your own immaturity, not that of the Cape Party.

As biased as you may think the article may be, the Cape Party clearly states it's views and intolerance on different cultures. Who are they to dictate who can and cannot reside in the WC.

Instead of attacking my immaturity, rather elaborate on some of your party's somewhat right wing ideals. Maybe I'll better understand your party's ideology. Becoming defensive and personal most certainly does not help your party's cause. I am merely posting facts quoted from one of the Cape Party's representatives.
I have yet to see any evidence to most of your claims.

"Just one of the reasons I (and the majority) of the WC won't support this right wing movement..."

When last were YOU in Alexandria, Mitchell's Plain, or Macassar? EVERYONE we had contact with there OVERWHELMINGLY supported it. EVERYONE. Sounds like you have a very skewed Northern view on what the Cape's demographics are pal.

How many people is everyone?

"No. If there are two main parties and the 'bad' one is in a position to win, many people will vote for the other, just to keep the bad one out. That's even if they support a smaller party."

- Couldnt agree more, and thank God they did, now we have the DA running this province and not the ANC. 4 years from now, hopefully it'll be the CP.

Genetic: everyone, is everyone we had contact with. I cant tell you about those we didnt have contact with ;)

Cape-Independence, you then need to clarify your statement... Everyone is not the same as Everyone you had contact with....

4 years you think it'll be the CP?... I'll be surprised if in 4 years the CP can garner even 10000 votes provincially.

...and Id be surprised if you are'nt an ANC supporter ;)

Either way, im not surprised you NOT from the Cape.

You make these assumptions so damn often...

What makes you think I'm not from the Cape... yes I don't live there, but thats doesn't say I'm not from the Cape....

And now I know your not. Hey, look, not like it matters, at the end of the day this is something thats gonna take on a life of its own, either toward secession or nothing.

You need to clear up the assumption for us.

A: Your are from the Cape.
B: You are not from the Cape.

Pick one.

I whose best interests? The Cape's? I dont think so. An Independent Cape will be in the best interests of everyone in the region.
