got nothing better 2 do with out a net connection for maintanence... ****

How crap is this? Below are the pertinent bits of my DynDNS updater log for today. This also happened on Tuesday and last friday.... It's interesting to note that three of the four outages happened just after the hour.

Hmm..when CT ADSL goes down, my router always has the flashing "PPP" light (it's a Billion) and then I have to reset it to get the internet back to work again.

I wonder why it can't just detect that it's working again...
 
been having the same problems since last friday.... websites have been up and down!I experienced a complete outage for about 20 minutes this morning! I to live in Rondebosch!
 
ADSL in cape town is down... AGAIN !! Yesterday for about 10 minutes and its been disconnected for about 30 minutes now today.

This is driving me up the wall. :mad:

Telkom can really do nothing right, 2 weeks to sort this out. :mad:
 
Mine went down at 8:46 and only came back at 9:58. An hour and twelve minutes.

8:46 to 9:58 sounds about what we had too! Outage was longer than Telkom reported.
