Hi peeps

I am proud to announce after the huge success of the May LAN that Carnage.LAN will be hosting another event in June. The event takes place on the weekend of the 2-4 and promises to be a LOT of fun. We will be hosting loads of comps, including Counterstrike 1.6, Warcraft 3 DotA, Unreal Tournament 2004 and Quake 4 Duel.

We will be running Casual comps as well for the following games, Unreal Tournament 2004, Battlefield 2, Counterstrike Source and Call of Duty 2. These casual comps will have Cash prizes or Food Vouchers which can be collected at the Cafe.

We will have servers running for Counterstrike 1.6, Counterstrike Source, Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, Quake 3 Arena, Quake 4, Unreal Tournament 2004 and anything else you wanna play. Just ask one of the Carnage.LAN Admins.

We will have a DC++ server running, and there will be all the latest goods being served. And remember to share as much as you can. Big discounts to the biggest sharers! :D

Hi Fieldy, I just have a few question.
How many gamers attend your lan parties?
What is the average age of the gamers attending?
How safe is the equipment - Can I leave my PC and have a quick snooze?

I am surprised they don't sell drugs as well ;).

The LAN is in Bellville South, at a place called Proteaville Recreation centre. It is a really big venue and it has showers, braai facilities, and table tennis tables! :D

With Regards to Safety, you stuff will be safe. We have 2 Wireless cameras keeping an eye on the floor at all times throughout the weekend. We also have 24 hour security guards at the venue. But u must just use your brains and not leave valuables out in the open. That is just asking for trouble. :)

We are relatively new on the "scene" but we usually get about 130-150 attendees. We have enough equipment to cater for 200 people. And our hall can easily fit 500. hopefully one day we can reach that number :D The average age of gamers that attend our LAN's are 19-20. We have a no under 13 age limit, but we only get a few under 16's. It is a very nice crowd of people that attend. Most really hardcore gamers, and the comps are quite intense.

Tibby. Drugs are bad ! :D

I realise it is a bit of a bad week. It will not make any difference though, we will still get +-130 poeple and the LAN will still go down, and be a lot of fun. We will be having another LAN in August which will not be in exam times.
