Hi all,

Going to be in Cape Town next week.

Looking for those secret spots where you can find the best food around.

Suggestions please? :)

Cape to Cuba - Kalk Bay
Gibson's Gourmet Burger - V&A Waterfront
Tiger's Milk Restaurant and Bar - Century City (the service SUCKS)

The Taproom at Devils Peak brewery, Saltriver
Raggafellows, Houtbay
Jerrys burger bar, Observatory
Clarkes, CBD

If you're from Joburg there's a wimpy at a mall somewhere :-)

â—Ź Culture Club Cheese: https://www.cultureclubcheese.co.za/
â—Ź Nooka Cafe (get the sweet potato fries!)
â—Ź Downtown Ramen (get there early around 19:00 because they sell out quick)
â—Ź Addis in Cape (Ethiopian food - cool experience)
â—Ź Sexy Food (tasty hippie veggie stuff)
â—Ź IYO burgers in Bree street: http://iyoburgers.co.za/
â—Ź Burger & Lobster in Bree street: https://www.zomato.com/capetown/burger-lobster-cbd/menu
â—Ź El Burro in Greenpoint (real nice Mexican)
â—Ź The Kitchen (no, not The Test Kitchen) really great lunch salads : https://www.zomato.com/capetown/the-kitchen-woodstock
â—Ź +1 to Devils Peak brewery - beer and food!
â—Ź Biscuit Mill market on Saturday morning - if you feel like crowds and hard-to-find parking there's some nice food to be had.

Obviously Pot Luck Club, Test Kitchen etc. for fine dining experience but you need to book early. Also if you're willing to drive out to Stellenbosch or Franschoek for the day there's a lot more to recommend.

Where in CPT are you going to be?
Lot's of lovely places in the Boland like Spice Route for example.

Thanks guys, will definitely be trying these.

Staying in the CBD and will be in Paarl

If you are in Paarl you must absolutely visit the Spice Route wine farm.

Not so much for food as the beer, chocolate and wine pairing and biltong tastings.

If you want something expensive, then Terra Mare in the Main Road opposite BP.
Spice Route as Mentioned before, it is an absolute must.
The Twisted Kitchen in Wellington is good as well.
Vrede en Lust wine farm - On your way to Franschoek. Very beautiful setup.
On the topic of Franschoek, well.. Franschoek is an absolute must as well.
