Is anybody having issues with their ADSL connecting at VERY low speeds and then disconnecting? In the past few hours I've changed routers/modems, ISPs and ADSL filters with the same results persisting. I'm assuming it must be my ADSL line, and with the massive layoffs at Telkom, support has become non-existent. Anybody else experiencing problems around Bellville/ Kuils River?

Me. Brackenfell. Annoying as hell. It seems to get worse from 7pm onwards, almost like congestion :D

EDIT: I have seen like 7 Telkom bakkies drive past my house. Could be the same one 7 times I guess, but I'm being optimistic.

Having the same issues in Pinelands, have restarted the modem countless times.

Bahhh... Up and down and up and down. Across multiple ISP's too. How does one even report this? TelkomZA helped me when I had some severe congestion on the line, but I'm not sure what the hell this is (apart from being terrible).

Whereabouts are you Klipdrif? I'm in Protea Heights.

Same here - disconnected most of the time... for some reason it connects when we're making a phone call on the line! Changed the filter, thought it might be that. No luck.

Oddly enough, I too did notice this when I was trying to go onto twitter and youtube on my S4. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I also live in Bellville. Even at midnight, it is still throttled down to 5kb/s or lower, you can forget about your upload speed <0.1kb/s

Called Telkom this morning (was on hold VERY long). Apparently this issue is being called in all over the place. They fixed it while on the phone with them though - something that's needs to be changed/reset on their side.

You're kidding... They just reset something? More details please :D

BELLVILLE/ROSENDAL/TYGERVALLEY ADSL PROBLEMS

Having problems in the Rosendal/Bellville area:

021 910****
Telkom 2mbps
Afrihost 100gig capped
12/04/2016 @ 22h00

Our internet has been down since the 12th of April 2016 around 22h00.
I logged a fault with Afrihost, they informed the the problem lies with Telkom - Line not syncing.
I contacted Telkom on the 14th and logged the Fault. Telkom never came back after stating the issue has been handed over to technical. I called again on the 16th, asked of they could escalate the issue (which they did not do until today).
Telkom did inform me that the exchange has been damaged - apparently vandalized.

Does anyone else have problems in this area? If the exchange was damaged / the cause of the issue, I cant be the only one with a problem??
