Capello quits

Doubt if Harry will take the job now, maybe after EUro, question who will be coaching England in the EURO finals?
 
Does it matter? They will still be rubbish.

I think he was looking for a way out before the Euro because he knew that England have n hope of winning. So he found the John Terry issue to latch onto.
 
The English are not going to be winning anything anytime soon....

Capello will probably end up in Serie A......
 
If 'Arry is made manager - then that's Jamie coming out of retirement to be the captain, and Lampard's role cemented in the team. #TeamNepotism

Jamie is a tad old. Frank is too fat.

i wont be surprised if harry comes to some sorta arrangement to have a dual managerial role in the interim.

You think so? I think he'll be in for the Euros, 'arry's not a youngster, he'll want as many major tournaments as possible, and it's the perfect time to do it.

If he takes it now & they don't do that well in the Euros, he can say "Well, I came in & they were in total disarray weren't they? Manager just jumped ship, captain sacked, down to the bare bones we were. Think it's a remarkable achievement we made it as far as we did." .... from the team bus window while leaving the stadium. If he does well, he's the messiah. No lose scenario really.

If he waits till after the Euros, it's almost a lose-lose scenario. If England did badly then the press will crucify whatever poor soul had the caretaker job, bleating on about 'arry's new era, massive pressure & no major tourney for a while. So just low profile qualifying matches to look forward to, where if you win, it's expected, if you lose, you're a giant welly and might not make it to the World Cup anyway. If England do well, then the caretaker is paraded down the streets of London as if Beowulf himself had returned and 'arry's on a hiding to nothing to match up.

Capello's said he's retiring after the England job, though god forbid he end up at Spurs and show everyone what he can do with a decent team. I think that's unlikely though, he's probably had enough of England.

Yeah I wouldnt think he would stay in England, after all, his gripe is with the FA - if he stays at a Premiership club, then that shows that he wanted to leave England before the Therry incident
