In my ideal volkstaat everyone is different and unique.... except when it comes to respect for self-ownership and the derivative rights like private property and freedom of association.

You mean to tell me there is not enough freedom for you in this system?

What about the race track example?Did you see the documentary on what happened there? That's evidence of the problem going from public land to private land.

I get that some owners are more sheltered from the risk than others, but that's not all that relevent, given the fact that historically these developments don't stand still. The incentive is toward socialization of all private property. To the extreme where your personal belongings are mercifully granted to you, by the State and it's cronies(PPP) i.e. you have no legal right to them.

That's the stock trajectory, given a Marxist government.

The WC govt has demonstrated it is both impotent and indifferent to that Marxist trajectory.

let me know when the cake eating unwashed masses are moving into homes already housing occupants - it has been close to 30years now - the crickets are still chirping.

open land has always been "fair game" across the planet.
the race track - was it being used for purpose ? i recall the incident - not the detail

This is NEVER EVER going to happen, no matter how much a tiny fringe group of colonial nostalgia dreamers and coloured nationalists fantasize about it. Its only here, on this forum that this crazy, stale idea gets any airtime. Out here, in the real Cape Town, there's no meaningful political discourse on this subject. Lets be honest, the ANC will not give up the goose that lays the golden eggs (taxes) without burning it down first.
