I count 3 (Edit: now 4) more posts just deleted somewhere people, suggest keeping things polite and on track. Clearly someone (new?) is determined to trip things up.

Don't shoot the messenger

^^ Ok, 2 of those posts related to me using the p-word, fair enough :p

Poll already looking healthy

(Yes, yes, far too soon of course..)

If you don't understand something ask for it to be explained, like a normal adult human being.... don't just assume it's "a bot posting random stuff".

My God, the level of triggering is something else.

Just take your finger of the cancel button for a minute and ask for an explanation.

What a bunch of little kids.

Brian_G's apparent duty... keeping the application of reasoned and logical discourse out of the capexit thread, by comprtmentlizing the criticism of his lack of principle, in different, less visible, threads.

What a control-freak.

Just a hint, Lex (and for others who'll find that useful)

What a control-freak.

*cough*
Says the one who endlessly tries to drive all of us in his direction :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Go back to bed, climb out the other side..

So, the current True-False question's quote comes to us from Anthea Jeffery(head of policy at the Institute of Race Relations).

The internal document was part of documentation which appears to be related to the Delmas judgement in 1984. Cited are 2 sources: Jeremy Seekings The United Democratic Front: A History, and Arnold Stofile, "The role of the youth in the liberation struggle," paper prepared for the UDF Border: Extraordinary Regional General Council meeting, Rhodes University, 10 June 1984.

The context is various interviews Anthea Jeffery has had, after publishing her most recent book "Countdown to Socialism."

If anyone is interested in drilling further down, this is perhaps a good starting point to get your bearings...

So far, I can't say I know for sure, but I'd hazard a guess on the track-record of Jeffrey, who is not usually prone to hyperbole, let alone lying outright, and say the claim is True.

Thanks for playing along..... and giving your honest thoughts:

@Cray
@Brian_G
@NoStepOnSnek88
(I forget if there was anyone else)

Ok... well I take it back, since you actually answered 'no', this time.

If there is one thing the regulars know, although they may not like to admit it openly, it's that what they term 'waffle' and 'walls o text' is my own thoughts and reasoning..... not some bot's.

So yes, you can resort to insults when you fail to comprehend it, (I'll take it on the chin) but this ^ is not a good look for mybb's censorship reputation.

No **** Sherlock.... how are people supposed to see critcism of the morally bankrupt naysayers?

They don't anyway. All they see (or in this case, saw), was just paragraphs of rambling waffle.

You're your own worst enemy in this regard.

There's a reason free speech is the 1st amendment, and not 14th or 15th etc.

It's the most important one. Because debating to settle differences is the one thing we started to do differently, which enabled a middle-class to emerge from a two-tier system of upper and lower classes.

Why censor me then?

Too many digital trees being harmed?

I don't see anyone censoring Brian_G..... his chatGPT posts are far longer than mine, and are by definition bot posts.

You guys think we can't see the anti-social antics.

We can.
