Does being amused by someone thinking that hate speech laws increase kidnappings make me a commie?
How so?
That's a really sick sense of humour dude, you know what he was saying

Your golden rule seems to be freedom of association. In this case society has decided that in general we dont like associating with people who engage in hate speech so laws are passed to punish those who engage in it via fines etc..Simple.
When you make it illegal to call someone a name or insult them, you may not see the cost of doing that... but what you have simultaneously done is weakened kidnapping laws and the constraint the existed on the State in terms of violating your liberty..
Nothing prevents you if you can't stand insults, from not associating with the person in the free economic regime when you do that.
But what you won't be able to do, is arrest someone, or deprive them to any degree of their property (otherwise called 'a fine'), simply for expressing their opinion.
Hate-speech is not a crime. Threats if credible imminent violence is.
Don't confuse or conflate them. Because the consequences are significant.
Hate speech is entirely irreconcilable with a free society.
Jeeeeezuuuuus, people.... grow the **** up, man.
For the record, I haven't personally insulted anyone today.

I generally avoid targeting any specific person using any of these terms.
Maybe you need to try harder...me, my future and that of my family and friends.
At least you admit you're pinko cowards.![]()

I generally avoid targeting any specific person using any of these terms.
Why? Because I know there are snowflakes who will use it to get my posts deleted or to get me thread-banned.
So I usually never actually call any specific user these names.
What tends to happen is that I'll speak of 'them' in the third person, and then the usual moegoes in this thread opt in and perform self-owns of those insults.
Looks like that's what some hyper-sensitive hall-monitor has failed to recognize...
Snowflakery on stilts, I tell you.
I mean, ffs, since when have people become so sensitized to being called 'knuckle-draggers', anyway?
Jeeeeezuuuuus, people.... grow the **** up, man.
Any citation on that - or are you just making things uo as you go along?Well-established business operators understand that CI would disrupt their market.
This is a significant factor in why they do not fund the CIM.
Their markets are protected through the artificial stabilization mechanism of legal red-tape/bureaucratic hurdles (that do not emanate from consumers).
Prohibitively expensive costs of doing business - not least of which require obscenely expensive legal advice, on account of State regulatory hurdles - accounts for the lack of competitors in most if not all SAn sectors.
For example, navigating and adhering to PAIA alone, is enough to keep most would-be competitors out of business.
WTFI treat people's openly stated beliefs(*) as a liability warning.... a precursor to the violent actions.
Anyone can change their mind from committing the violence their stated beliefs betray.... but where they demonstrate their unwillingness to be subject to discourse(the strongest argument), as opposed to deferring to authority(experts by decree).... they need to be called out as criminally-minded.
If you ever encounter someone like this keeping your mouth shut is not the ideal response. I understand your job might be in jeopardy and that there is an appropriate time and place. I'm just saying this problem will grow unless confronted (which, in itself, is a peaceful process).
I confront criminally-minded people all the time on this very forum. There has been no violence at all from me, towards them..
* beliefs that demonstrate their intractability to discourse/argumentation.

Back to CI topic.
It was mentioned / disputed
looooong ago the gazillion dollars it would need for a successful secession / independence.
Who's currently, in this moment in time funding the entire CI movement, and has the CI movement considered or approached someone like Elon Musk for example for funding purposes.
I'm just curious about the funding behind the CI, who are the large funders to this movement currently etc...
Tbh I might.. Cheeky little side bet just to piss my mates off.picture the scene, its july - you're at greyville racecourse in durban.
the great durban july horse race is about to start.
horses are brought to the parade ring - amongst them is a horse named "cape independence".
"cape independence" only has 3 legs and his jockey, instead of a riding crop - is holding a white cane.
who is going to put money on that horse for a win ?
Can you name some unhappy ANC, EFF or DA donors?
