Hi all.

Recently opened an account.

Would like to know if anyone uses the budget option in the app, and what it entails?

Thank you!

Was wondering the same, opened an account today to test out Capitec. Tried accessing the Budget option, but it tells me it's unavailable at this time.

Opened an account 2 days ago, nice experience so far. Looks like a monthly budget function. When I click on Budget, it gives me options "View" and "Plan". When you click on either of these: "You need to plan your spending to understand where your money goes every month so you can take control of it..." It tells me that I cannot use this function now, as I don't have enough transactions yet. (Iphone 6 Plus, IOS 10.3.1)

Just use 22seven instead

Unless you have multiple accounts at different institutions that you want to aggregate, I don't see any reason to use 22seven or any third party over capitec's built in budget functionality?

Have you used 22seven?

Capitec's budgeting app is a cute thought at best.

Capitec just gives errors - cannot start.

Just linked my fnb account on 22seven and it is great so far.

Having trouble linking Capitec though...
:-(
Capitec might be down/have issues their app is pretty horrific and hardly ever works, I too cannot seem to access it at this point.

Time to send then a tweet of anger.

Lol, seems i have been tweeting in anger lately. My recurring dstv payment via capitec got lost in the ether 2 weeks ago....they still cannot trace payment, or tell me who was paid!?!?

Multichoice is not much more helpful either.

Things like this makes me think of staying with fnb.

That would frustrate the living life out of me.

Hi all

The budget feature on the Capitec has been working since I opened my account last year until the beginning of last month.
It does not categorise my expenses automatically anymore and also does not ask me to categorise expenses.

I have cleared the app cache and reinstalled it and still no luck.
Does anyone else have the same problem or know how to fix it?

Im nervous to link any other budget app to my bank account. Sounds risky.

My budget function never worked. But app still categorizes expences and allows me to adjust if necessary.

I tried 22seven, but Capitec does not want to connect - needs pin from branch apparently.

I use 22seven with capitec no problem. You have to have the capitec app installed as well. You might need to go into a branch to get the capitec app activated

What function on the app doesn't work then?
