Capitec Bank says it added 711,000 active clients for the year ended February 2014, taking its total base to 5.4 million.

Capitec in theory could become the biggest bank in terms of number of clients when you look at the number of South African's who don't have bank accounts.... oh wait Zuma is president and those who don't have bank accounts still won't have bank accounts in 5 years time

Capitec is doing something right. I hope that they can force the other banks to drop their banking charges to reasonable levels.

What does Zuma's presidency have to do with people not having bank accounts? At best I can think of the new SASSA cards, but those are linked to bank accounts. If anything that would have raised the number of bank accounts, as many people will still taking their payments in cash.

Capitec is really great if all you want is a place to put your money, and this is what many people want.
