Becareful they don't charge you hey!! 
My connection time is running towards 150 hours... Ive got a 2 gig cap, going towards 3 gig now (Normally used to be capped at 2.2 gigs) Ill probably get capped when I reconnect but still 150 uptime for a Telkom line is good... Shouldnt it be reset every 24 hours?

If youre getting international count yourself lucky and keep quiet about it. Dont post so the world can see. Maybe a few of us can slip by every month and not get stuck with a pathetic 3 gig cap

On Do3, I got capped after 19GB on 5 May. Last night, I was uncapped and i did extra 4GB which does not reflect on my usage stats. Another Telkom messup!
I am permanently on a 165.145 IP - I am only capped with 165.146 IP.

For those that don't know...
Telkom unlike the other service provides don't hard cap their adsl user they do however cap you eventually.
Example:
if you have 1GB cap you are allowed up to 2GB Bandwidth
if you have 2GB cap you are allowed up to 4GB Bandwidth
if you have 3GB cap you are allowed up to 6GB Bandwidth
Its not a mistake, nor will you be charged for it. Only after you exceed you allocated safety net with your international bandwidth be stopped.
Long gone are the days when telkom refreshed only at 11:59:59pm at night. Unfortunately for our telkom users telkom now refreshes their accounts hundreds of times a day reguardless of uptime, i myself don't get disconnected unless my power cuts my last up time was 149hrs before my power cut. And your usage can be suspended anytime during the day.
You wanted telkom to update thier protocals well they did, now only if they could give us the speed and higher caps that would be something we all would long for....

What a load of rubish! Since when. You have 1GB soft cap. Means there is a possibility that you might get more than your initial bandwidth you bought. Where did you hear about the extra that they will only cap you on that? Soft cap just means there is a possibility that you might get more than you paid for and that telkom or who ever won't charge you for exceeding the initial cap

I have a 3GB Telkom account and was capped on 4.3GB this month. Some months I have had closer to 6GB and in Feb/March was getting international after being capped as the OP says.
It is a random thing and not a fixed entitlement.
That is the annoying aspect of it, I pay for 2 accounts a month not knowing if I will need both, and sometimes end up not coming out properly on 2 accounts and have to buy top up. It is impossible to properly budget for use with Telkom, and local bandwidth is useless to me, I am a content provider for 3d virtual environments and all the servers are international. I do have simulators on my local LAN but have to go into the live environment for beta test, release and support of the products.

AFAIK 1GB TI accounts get capped at ofr very close to 1GB, and do not offer "double usage".
But yes, in my personal experience, 2GB and 6GB accounts do give double the bandwidth.
