Capped Data Plan

Hi Guys

Im currently with Mweb on a 4mb uncapped line and well it sucks because each month i use about 100GB with my university mates, the 30 day rolling window isn't helping. I'm thinking a capped 100-150GB data plan would work for me. Thing is, is that a good plan?

My price limit is R500 and i want a line speed at 4mb/s or higher. What ISP or plan should i get?
I also want to live stream music and movies...with downloading

Why not go for a softcap option from Telkom?

50GB for browsing, etc. and schedule your downloads from 00h00 to 06h00 for unlimited data that does not count towards your 50GB capped account.

I would suggest one of the following :

1) if money isn't a problem and u want the best capped for your budget; Vox 150gb Capped R485.00
2) if money is an issue; Afrihost 150gb Capped R299 (This data rolls over when you didnt use all of your months 150gb)

Nothing wrong with Afrihost. I personally dig them, but I have accounts with both the above. The Vox account seems to give me more consistent service.

Quick question, the R500 you mentioned, is that just for data or including the line? Please let me know then I will explain to you the various packages you can consider.

Generally unless mentioned, capped packages from any provider does not limit your speed. That 50GB Softcap from Ti will work on any linespeed upto 40Mbps . If a provider says otherwise, they not doing it right

50GB Softcap - Whatever linespeed you have is what you can download at.
Uncapped packages - limited to the package speed you signup for.

If you opt for data only, the account runs at whichever speed your ADSL line is set to. Our Capped Combo's on the other hand start from 2Mbps all the way up to 40Mbps VDSL.
