What kind of download speed do you get once you're capped?

It's been getting worse and worse every month. Firstly it take between 5 and 20 min for it to move from 0 B/s to a "AMAZING" 800 B/s then in I'm really really (as in win the lotto really) lucky I might get 1 kbps. But generally my download (I'm talking no more than 30 megs here) will fail at some stage or another.

It should also be noted that I have excellent signal, and when not capped I average between 50 and 100 kbps.

So is something wrong here, or is iBurst doing this on purpose. :( I'm not torrenting gigabytes upon gigabytes of games and movies here. Its small little applications which I test and play around with. ;)

Anyway, it'd be cool to get some comments on this, because the speeds have been getting really bad.

BitTorrent is throttled on iBurst even when not capped. Why don't u try to download your torrent using a torrent 2 http site, such as:
http://www1.torrentrelay.com/fresh/web.pl?d=
(It's free.)

For some reason i'm getting very quick speeds on torrents tonight, about 120kb/s on a torrent, and i'm CAPPED!! usually only get about 3kb/s.
Is iBurst feeling generous or something tonight??

Currently i'm mostly using my 1GIGA package for Work related stuff. So i still got plenty of cap left (only use it to surf the odd site here and there..., some emails or to VPN in onto the Works domain)

I must say i'm quite happy with my speeds and pings. I'm used to working on 16mbit ADSL line and for a mobile service Iburst is really worth it in my opinion. *Obviously the upto 64K after the cap is Super SWEEET!!*

Me too! I'm currently doing 110kb/s on uTorrent and I'm supposed to be throttled!:D:eek:

I managed to solve my problem by getting rid of my Endian firewall and replacing it with IPCop, looks like Endians HTTP antivirus scanner is more hassle than what its worth.

Anyway:
Torrents are usually MUCH quicker than HTTP downloads I find. I can get up to 100 kbps when uncapped with torrents, but only up to 60 kbps on HTTP.

When capped, torrents are still quicker, maintaining a 4-6 kbps average, while http is up and down from 1-6 kbps but mostly between 1-4 kbps.

So, yea... either iBursts HTTP traffic is very heavily congested, or torrents are not prioritized bellow http, lol.
