Dear Friends
Internet Solutions have implemented a 10 day rolling window on all Uncapped Express ADSL accounts.
The accounts affected will be Business Uncapped Express, 384k, 512k and 1024k. (Uncapped accounts that allow you to use your own router).
The 10 day rolling window is hereby explained:
Business ADSL Express
The Business ADSL service has been developed mainly for the conservative business user who requires the assurance of an uninterrupted / uncapped and fixed cost ADSL service. The Business ADSL Express service is a managed service, where by the customers usage is monitored and recorded. The service is allocated a certain threshold for the month which is divided into a 10 day rolling window. If a customer reaches his 10 day threshold before the 10th day, his bandwidth will be halved (e.g. 512Kbps will be dropped to 256Kbps). However, if his consumption is reduced, his bandwidth will be restored to the purchased level.
This mechanism has been put in place in order to discourage abuse of the service and thereby giving the “conservative business user” a more superior service.
Below is a matrix depicting the service / line speed and their associated thresholds:
Line Speed Threshold Rate Limit 10 day rolling window period
384kbps 15Gb 192kps 5 Gb
512kbps 30 Gb 256kbps 10 Gb
1024kbps 60 Gb 512kbps 20 Gb
We would like to thank you for your patronage and loyal support.
Have a great day!
Kind regards
