One of the things about Crime is the worry about leaving your house for any period of time and it is broken into, heck they even do it while I am here. But again if communications were not as expensive you could have an alarm system that could call you and you could see and hear what is going on in your house while you were out (via your cellphone) and even call the police, or one of your neighbours / friends... also there are other things you can do, but lets not let all the cats out the bag

This is of course true of some businesses, but not all, it is always seen as a fear in SA rather than a beginning , for example you have areas or districts that have restaurants, shoe shops, etc - They attract people into the area because they know that they can look for what they like or need, and the competition makes it all the better for everyone, including the shopkeepers, unless they are the type that just want a business that they do not have to do anything and were rather hoping that people would just give them money because that is what they were born to do
