I am going to be booking my learners tomorrow or Wednesday. Once I have that, go for some driving lessons then go and book my test. Where I live should be relatively easy as I will be doing it in Bredasdorp, no traffic lights. Now the question is There has been some cash set aside to get a car once I have my license.

I can probably spend between R20,000 and R35,000. I have been thinking of the citi golf, but i believe it is the most stolen car right now. I could also possibly get a Corsa, Tazz, Uno or something in those lines. What would you recommend? I have never had a car before and will be my first. Please advise

or car advice if you like... for R20,000 - R35,000 you won't be able to get much of a Corsa, I don't know much about Uno cars, but I often see them on the roadside being repaired. Go for a Toyota Tazz, it is quite nice and it is largely maintainable and customisable... Good luck with obtaining your licence. You might just need it!

+1, if you can get a good tazz at that price get it! awesome, reliable cars those

ok thanks guys. My friend got a really nice Corsa for R32,000 but I will be keeping my eyes open. Deciding on a car is a big decision so that why I am looking at prices and cars now :D

Get a Tazz & forget about the other three brands.

They are solid & reliable as well as cheap to service.

Thanks guys. I am starting to look. 3 steps need to be taken or 4.

Step 1: Book learners.

Step 2: Write learners and pass.

Step 3: Book Drivers lessons and do them.

Step 4: Book Drivers Test.

Step 5: Go for drivers test and pass.

Step 6: Buy my car

Spelling mistake in the thread title. Why would you want a car advisor though?
