After almost getting stuck again due to a flat battery, I am trying to find a suitable battery disconnect switch to reduce the current drain when the car is not being used. I would prefer a switch which does not require cutting the current battery leads. I can't seem to find anything like this locally at Midas or Autozone etc. (see pics) ...

Any suggestions for a cheap reliable trickle charger would also be appreciated.

When you turn the car on do you get the proper lights etc or does your central locking works before starting?? Because if all this works fine and then the car doesn't like cranking then you have a dead cell in the battery and no amount of trickle charging or kill switches will help...

The batteries in this car never seem to last more than 2.5 years before they start to give trouble. Sometimes the car is only used once or twice a week which is when the battery starts to give trouble. There is an integrated alarm system which seems to draw current from the battery constantly so I was hoping that I could find a switch to prevent this when the car is not being used. The battery will probably need to be replaced quite soon though.
