Car Charger Advise Please

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this has been asked before. I an looking to buy a car charger for my Galaxy S5.
I had a look on Takealot there are hundreds of chargers. Some are very cheap and then others like R400.00
Do they all do the same thing? Can anyone here maybe suggest a good charger?

Do not buy the cheapest ones, buy one which has the correct voltage for your phone which would be around 5V if I'm not mistaken. Should set you back no more than R300. Depending how fancy you would want it to be.

Also important to consider the output current, for a nice fast charge you would want to get a 2A or higher. Standard phone chargers are 1A, and USB 2.0 charging from PCs is 0.5A

Have this too, works amazing. Charging a phone 1 amp is sufficient, if you want to chard a tablet you need 2 amp +
So if you get one that is like 0.3 amps it will charge long time.

If you can rather get an original Samsung,Sony or other reputable brand.A friend of mine bought one of the street vendors a year or two back and that led to him popping two 9900's which were expensive phones at the time,turned out the current rating they claimed to deliver and what they were actually delivering was way off!
