2012 + 6 = 2018 - 2015 = 3 years remaining, if my very basic math skills are correct.

I wouldnt call that "motorplan expiring"

He purchased a 2009 model in 2012.

OP, you can extend the motorplan to 8 years now. You sound like a low mileage user. Perhaps consider converting it to an 8 year/100km no contribution plan? Then in two years you will have no installments, and be able to afford out of motorplan maintenance.

Sell the car now. Abuse the low mileage myth and inflate your price while you can. Buy something newer and better.

The annual expense of maintaining the car you have will probably level out with the MONTHLY installment on a new car.

Just not worth it.

Stealership pricing.
Have to agree with this. If you plan on keeping the car you have no reason to take it back to the dealership. With no service plan or warranty you are way better off servicing at an independent mechanic. Obviously one that has a good reputation and is RMI approved.
