Car Keys

Greetings,

I have lost a CX5 spare key. To cut the long story short, I believe it got stolen by someone who was living with us and have just left yesterday. A couple of things could not be found after she left and that includes 2 spare keys, Honda Civic and CX5. I am worried that the cars can be stolen easily while sleeping. What is the cheapest way of resolving this issue, go straight to a Mazda/Honda dealerships or find a legit car key coding specialist?

Basically, I want to deactivate the lost spare keys so that whoever has it, will not be able to use on any of the above-mentioned cars.

The dealerships should be able to deactivate the stolen keys for you - would definitely get this done asap

Get a steering lock for each vehicle in the meantime, that’ll stop any ideas of them quickly and easily driving off with either of the vehicles.
Thanks, I did that for one vehicle though.

Update:

Yesterday I managed to get the Honda locking mechanism sorted out and they made a new spare key for me. They explained that the old spare key that disappeared will not work any more. If they try to manually unlock the car, the alarm will automatically go off. The Company is based in Boksburg, and I was impressed with their work and professionalism. I had to sort out the Honda because it is not insured. It cost me R2700.

The Mazda is insured. So, I just got a steering lock yesterday and used it last night. In the meantime I am waiting for Old Mutual to accept and process my claim.

Yes, they wanted the insurance to commit to paying. So, I am busy with the broker to assist in this regard. The insurer is Old Mutual.

Did you refuse to pay her?
That's the thing, we paid her . According to her Agent, we were entitled not to pay her the full monthly salary since she left yesterday. Like many of you here would probably do, we chose to pay her the full March Salary. And then boom, this happened .
