R7 per day for each day that passed after the 21 day grace period sin't it?

My colleague the other day said it's R12. So if the amount stated is 350, and you're 2 days late, don't just take 350, take 374.

That's what I meant by taking extra.

Awesome. It's always good to be prepared when going to these places... I do not like being sent from pillar to post (office:D)...

Fuuuuuuck. Tell me about it.

Last year, I went, stood in the queue to renew my Hyundai's license, just to be told I need to go to the traffic department first because of "irregularities" on my Tazz's license.

Turned out because I bought it the previous year through Carfin, and my roadworthy certificate had expired (hadn't expired when I sent it, but had when Carfin processed it), I had to re-do the roadworthy I had done 16 months previously, re-pay the previous year's license fees for the car, as well as penalties for that year, and the renewal all in one go.

Felt it was *** that I had to pay for the same year twice, and penalties, but I just wanted to get the **** out of there and sucked it up.

Part that pissed me off most was that Carfin never informed me of this, and they sent me a copy of the car license renewal etc. so I assumed all was in order.

Sorry about your experience... Just did mine at lunch time without much drama... 10 minutes tops at centurion mall post office... the amount that needed to be paid was much larger than what I had on me.... and they only accept cash :erm: ... So had to go and withdraw more... Only needed the notice and the cash, had my ID... just in case, but was never asked.
