I personally wouldn't bother with the shitty pretend suv crap though. I'd look at the new Nissan Micra.

The XV is for a specific type of user.
I'd have to ask why he's looking to buy an SUV.

Compared to normal cars, they are less fun to drive due to the body roll and height. He doesn't have kids or space requirements, so I'm not sure what the motivation is here.

I've never understood this argument for a SUV or hatchback. A regular sedan has more space for kids and a much bigger boot than a comparable SUV. Same goes for hatches.

If you need more room than a sedan you get a wagon, not a suv.

Yeah, and plenty of us here and in the real world use Renaults (and peugeots) and love em. Just look at all the Clio's and Captur's and Kadjars out there these days.

Same platform. The point is with both the hatchbacks, the golf and the Tiguan on the same platform, the SUV has more space.

I can put 3 prams and 5 suitcases in the boot of my suv and still have 5 full seats available. Can probably shoehorn in a bike and a dog too. No room for the bullshit you spout though :/

I take it you don't have a sportage/cx3/ecosport etc? I doub't even a tiguan or golf would swallow all that either.
