Hi guys,
I need some advice please from people who are car fundies. I am clueless, I just drive them :)
I am in the market for a car, the price mac is around R350k

New car, not seconds hand (its a company car and company says they want new with full service plan etc).

Factors that are deal breakers are that the back seat should be wide enough for two car seats and a booster, and obviously 3 proper seatbelts (not the weird lap belt or roof belts)

Safety obviously a factor because of kids

My gut says go sedan as in my mind they are roomier (but I could be very wrong)

interested to hear what you guys think

looks cool! the true test would be to go to a dealer with all car seats in toe and measure
thanks for the suggestion

i looked at the xuv300, the horizontal just isnt there. i couldnt get the 3 seats to fit.
nice suggestion tho it is a lovely looking vehicle

You may as well stop shopping now if this is a deal breaker.

Very very few cars have full seat belts in the middle of the rear seats.

Also how is a roof belts "weird" or different from a normal one?

cant be too rare, both cars suggested above have a full middle seatbelt. apparently the toyota corolla too, ill go measure that up tomorrow

I am not sure if a roof seatbelt works for a booster car seat

Booster seat only uses the “lap” part so should be fine.

no, it uses the lap and the diagonal across the child's chest.

Yes but the diagonal has nothing to do with the booster part.

That still goes up to the roof so it’s no problem at all.

Lap belt only would also work with the booster, but obviously it’s not as safe as a torso supporting belt.

Hi everyone.
So after a LOT of shopping around, it between the Honda hrv 1.5 comfort or the Nissan Qashqai 1.2T Accenta

I have gotten them both to about the same price +- with discounts
both fit my carseats
both seem very nice

but I am a car idiot and I am sure I am missing something.

between the two, what are your thoughts

thanks!
